What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a $50,000 renewal fee to renew their franchise agreement. The initial franchise term is twenty years, and franchisees in good standing who meet specific conditions are entitled to an automatic renewal for one additional ten-year term.
To remain a franchisee, all required conditions for renewal must be met. When renewing the agreement, Camp Margaritaville may require franchisees to sign a contract with materially different terms and conditions than their original Franchise Agreement.
In addition to the renewal fee, franchisees must provide written notice of intent to renew 12-18 months before the expiration of the current term. They must also not be in default, still have ownership of the site, agree to remodel to the Resort's then-current standards, execute the then-current form of the franchise agreement, and execute the then-current release franchisor and affiliates from any and all claims.
