What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must participate in the brand's gift card program. This program facilitates the sale and processing of gift cards at all participating locations.
The onboarding and implementation costs for the Camp Margaritaville Gift Card Program range from $5,000 to $15,000. The specific amount depends on the franchisee's particular Point of Sale (POS) and Property Management System (PMS) setup, as well as the available amenities at their location.
In addition to the initial onboarding and implementation costs, franchisees will also enter into a franchisee participation agreement with Givex, the third-party provider for transaction processing and settlement services for the Gift Card Program. Franchisees will incur a charge of 2% of the amount tendered if the gift card was purchased at their resort or any other Margaritaville-branded physical location. If the gift card was purchased from the Margaritaville website or a non-branded third-party location, the charge is 5% of the amount tendered. These charges are remitted to Camp Margaritaville or its affiliates to offset the costs of the Gift Card Program. Camp Margaritaville retains the right to change the costs, redemption reimbursement amounts, and calculation factors at any time.
