What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must provide access to all Guest Information in their possession or control on a regular basis. Guest Information includes all data relating to or derived from the Resort's guests and other customers, whether obtained directly from them or from any other source. This encompasses names, preferences, and details about their experiences and/or purchases, including information stored in the Resort's CRS, CRM, Loyalty, PMS, or any other system that collects guest data or behavior.
Camp Margaritaville also retains the right to access the Resort's Computing Environment upon request to review and retrieve Guest Information. This means that Camp Margaritaville has the ability to directly access the franchisee's systems to gather guest data. The frequency of providing access on a "regular basis" is not specifically defined in the document, but it implies an ongoing and consistent sharing of data.
For a prospective Camp Margaritaville franchisee, this means implementing systems and procedures to collect and organize guest data effectively. It also requires being prepared to share this data with Camp Margaritaville regularly and to allow them access to the Resort's Computing Environment upon request. Franchisees should clarify with Camp Margaritaville what constitutes a "regular basis" for providing Guest Information to ensure compliance and avoid any potential conflicts. This level of data sharing is common in franchise systems to help with marketing efforts and maintaining brand consistency.
