Who is obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the Computing Environment for a Camp Margaritaville franchise?

According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and updates to the Computing Environment. The FDD states that Camp Margaritaville, nor any other party, is obligated to provide these services.

The Computing Environment includes the computer hardware, software, cabling, and related equipment necessary to operate the Camp Margaritaville Resort. This system is used for various functions, including administering the CRS and PMS, automating front desk operations, managing the telephone switchboard and housekeeping, handling accounting, tracking sales and labor data, running the POS System, managing electronic door locks, payment gateways, gift card solutions, in-room entertainment, and generating reports.

Camp Margaritaville estimates that the initial cost to acquire and install the Computing Environment for a 150-pad resort ranges from $750,000 to $1,250,000, including fees for their required technology consulting firm. The franchisee must acquire specific systems like PMS, POS, CRM, CRS, CMS, EPP, and HSIA from Camp Margaritaville's designated vendors. The franchisee also has to acquire maintenance from other required vendors. Camp Margaritaville may periodically require changes, upgrades, or updates to the Computing Environment, and the franchisee is responsible for these costs.
