What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the frequency of Quality Assurance Audits is determined at the discretion of Camp Margaritaville. The document states that Camp Margaritaville may conduct these audits as frequently as it deems necessary.

Camp Margaritaville, its representatives, or affiliates have the right to inspect all public and non-public areas of the resort during normal business hours without prior notice, with the exception of occupied overnight accommodations. These inspections can include being served food and drink free of charge in public areas, interviewing management and staff (provided it doesn't interfere with their duties), and inspecting records to ensure compliance with system standards.

The franchisee is responsible for covering the costs of lodging, food, beverages, and other related living expenses for the inspectors during these audits. However, Quality Assurance Audits conducted in the ordinary course of business are free of charge. If a resort fails a Quality Assurance Audit, the franchisee will be charged a $5,000 fee for each additional audit until compliance is achieved. This fee is subject to change or increase at Camp Margaritaville's discretion, with written notification provided to the franchisee.

In addition to Quality Assurance Audits, Camp Margaritaville may implement other quality control measures, including guest comment cards, staff surveys, secret shopper reports, and online reputation monitoring. Franchisees may also be required to participate in food safety and sanitation audits on a quarterly basis at their own expense, either as part of or in addition to a Quality Assurance Audit.
