What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the brand's System Standards, which the franchisor can modify. This includes purchasing or leasing FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) and other products that Camp Margaritaville periodically specifies. Franchisees cannot install any FF&E or other products without prior written consent from Camp Margaritaville. The System Standards may include minimum requirements for delivery, performance, reputation, prices, quality, design, and appearance.
Camp Margaritaville issues and modifies System Standards based on the experience of themselves, their affiliates, and their franchisees. These standards are communicated through the Manual or other communications, which also identify approved suppliers. Franchisees are expected to purchase approximately 80% of required goods and services from approved or designated suppliers.
Camp Margaritaville also has the option to revoke approval of certain goods, services, or sources if they no longer meet the System Standards. The franchisor may refuse a franchisee's requests if they have already designated a particular source for items critical to the Camp Margaritaville System and do not want to expand the list of approved sources. This gives Camp Margaritaville significant control over the products and services used at each franchise location, ensuring consistency but potentially limiting a franchisee's choice of suppliers.
