What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement can be modified in specific instances, primarily related to technology and extensions of the opening deadline.
The FDD states that Camp Margaritaville may periodically modify its Technology Standards. In such an event, Camp Margaritaville and the franchisee will amend the Technology Agreement to incorporate such new required technology. This ensures that all franchisees are using the most up-to-date systems necessary to run their resorts.
Additionally, the franchise agreement can be modified if a franchisee seeks an extension to the opening deadline. To obtain an extension, the franchisee must submit a written request along with a $10,000 extension fee to Camp Margaritaville before the original deadline. If Camp Margaritaville approves the extension, they will set a new opening deadline and may require the franchisee to modify any previously approved Design Plans or Property Improvement Plan (PIP) to comply with the then-current standards of the Camp Margaritaville system. This ensures that any delays are addressed while maintaining brand consistency and standards.
