What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit a $10,000 extension fee along with a written request to the Franchisor if they want to extend the Opening Deadline. This fee must be submitted before the original Opening Deadline.

If Camp Margaritaville approves the extension, they will set a new Opening Deadline. The $10,000 extension fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the extension is ultimately granted. Additionally, Camp Margaritaville has the option to require the franchisee to modify previously approved Design Plans or PIP to comply with the current standards of the Camp Margaritaville System.

If Camp Margaritaville denies the extension request, the $10,000 extension fee will be refunded to the franchisee, and the original Opening Deadline will remain in effect. If the Resort does not open by the Opening Deadline, which may be extended, Camp Margaritaville has the option to terminate the Franchise Agreement immediately without notice to the franchisee. If the agreement is terminated, Camp Margaritaville is not required to refund any fees or expenses paid by the franchisee.
