What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville Franchise Disclosure Document, the Rider amends the Franchise Agreement. Specifically, the document is referred to as a rider to the existing Franchise Agreement between the franchisor and the franchisee. This indicates that the Rider serves to modify, add to, or clarify specific terms and conditions of the original agreement.

There are multiple types of Riders that can be added to the Camp Margaritaville Franchise Agreement. These include an Amenities Rider, a Lodge Rider, and an FBR Rider. The Amenities Rider pertains to the operation of amenities such as a water park, family entertainment center, or marina. The Lodge Rider likely covers specific terms related to lodge-style accommodations within the Camp Margaritaville resort. The FBR Rider relates to the operation of Margaritaville-branded Restaurants and/or Retail Stores.

In practical terms, a Camp Margaritaville franchisee should carefully review any Rider attached to their Franchise Agreement to understand how it alters their rights and obligations. It is common in franchising to use riders or addenda to address specific aspects of the franchise relationship, such as additional services, location-specific terms, or updates to brand standards. Franchisees should pay close attention to how the Rider interacts with the original agreement and seek legal counsel if they have any questions or concerns.
