What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must hire the lead designer within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. Camp Margaritaville requires franchisees to hire The McBride Company as the lead designer for the resort. However, with the franchisor's pre-approval, a franchisee may use another lead designer, provided that The McBride Company is hired as a consultant to review and approve the final design of the resort.

This requirement ensures that the design of the Camp Margaritaville resort aligns with the franchisor's standards and vision. By mandating the use of a specific design firm or requiring approval and consultation from that firm, Camp Margaritaville maintains consistency across all franchise locations.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they must factor in the cost of hiring The McBride Company or another approved designer into their initial investment. It also means adhering to a strict timeline for securing design services to avoid any delays in the development of the resort. Failing to meet this deadline could potentially impact the overall project timeline and could be a breach of the franchise agreement.
