What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Key Personnel must complete their initial offsite training no later than 30 days prior to the resort's opening. This training, which lasts approximately three weeks, is conducted at a Camp Margaritaville Resort or another Margaritaville-branded venue that is mutually agreed upon.
As a prospective franchisee, it's crucial to ensure that all Key Personnel are scheduled for and complete this training within the specified timeframe. Failure to do so could delay the resort's opening. Franchisees are responsible for covering all costs associated with the trainees, including wages, salaries, housing, travel-related expenses, and per diem charges, subject to a mutually agreed-upon budget. However, Camp Margaritaville will cover the costs related to the training venue and its employees.
Furthermore, if a member of the Resort's Key Personnel leaves their position, their replacement must attend and successfully complete the brand standard training programs within 90 days of assuming the position, or within a longer period designated by Camp Margaritaville. The franchisee is responsible for any fees, travel, and living expenses associated with this training. Camp Margaritaville may also require Key Personnel to participate in regional and national meetings and other brand standard training programs, with attendance required within a specified timeframe (currently 180 days) after receiving notice. Franchisees are responsible for all personnel's travel, living, and compensation expenses related to these programs.
