What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the CRS (Central Reservation System) Supplier has provided certain assurances to Margaritaville regarding the use and disclosure of Supplier Aggregate Data. The CRS Supplier has assured Margaritaville that its use or disclosure of Supplier Aggregate Data complies with all applicable laws and regulations. This assurance extends to the laws and regulations as applied to the customer (franchisee), the customer's properties, Margaritaville, or the CRS Supplier itself.
Supplier Aggregate Data, as defined in the FDD, excludes Guest Information or other personal data and any information that could identify a specific customer, property, or guest. The data is anonymized, aggregated with substantial data from other Margaritaville and CRS Supplier customers, and maintained in an anonymized format. This means the CRS Supplier can use this aggregated data for marketing and other purposes, provided it adheres to these conditions.
For a prospective Camp Margaritaville franchisee, this assurance from the CRS Supplier offers a degree of comfort that the handling of aggregated, anonymized data complies with legal requirements. However, franchisees should remain vigilant about their own data handling practices, particularly concerning Guest Information and Reservation Data, as they are responsible for adhering to privacy and data protection laws as outlined in the Branding Agreement. Franchisees should also understand that Margaritaville is not liable if the CRS Supplier fails to fulfill its commitments, emphasizing the importance of the direct assurances provided by the CRS Supplier to Margaritaville.
