What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Camp Margaritaville's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement outlines initial and ongoing training requirements in Article III, Section 3.01. Specifically, Section 3.01(a) details the Management Training Program, which Key Personnel must successfully complete before the Resort's Opening Deadline. This program is conducted by Camp Margaritaville employees or representatives at a location selected by the franchisor. The duration of the Training Program is determined by Camp Margaritaville, with an average duration of approximately 3 weeks. The franchisor covers the costs related to the training venue and its employees, but the franchisee is responsible for all other expenses associated with the Training Program.
Furthermore, if any Key Personnel are replaced during the Term of the agreement, the newly hired personnel are required to attend the Training Program at the franchisee's sole expense within 1 month of beginning employment, or as otherwise agreed by both parties. This ensures that all key staff members are properly trained in the Camp Margaritaville system.
Additionally, Section 3.01(b) mentions 'Task Force Training,' although the excerpt does not provide specific details about this type of training. A prospective franchisee should inquire with Camp Margaritaville about the specifics of Task Force Training, including its content, duration, cost, and applicability.
