Customer shall not reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to discover the software code, documentation or any other
proprietary technology owned or licensed by Margaritaville or the Services Provider. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Customer retains all right, title and interest in and to any content that Customer provides to the Platform, excluding the Margaritaville Intellectual Property and Guest Profile Data, as defined in the Branding Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Camp Margaritaville FDD, the ownership of proprietary technology is addressed in several contexts. Generally, Camp Margaritaville or its service providers retain ownership of most technology-related intellectual property. Specifically, the Services Provider owns the platform, software, and intellectual property rights associated with their website. Similarly, the CRS Supplier retains copyright protection for all software programs and content related to the CR System.
Franchisees are explicitly prohibited from reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to discover the software code or proprietary technology owned or licensed by Camp Margaritaville or its service providers. However, franchisees retain ownership of the content they provide to the platform, excluding Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property and guest profile data.
Camp Margaritaville retains ownership of the System Standards and the Manual, including any supplements. Franchisees acknowledge that the copyright in all Margaritaville Artwork is solely and exclusively owned by Camp Margaritaville or its affiliates. Franchisees are granted a limited license to use Camp Margaritaville's intellectual property solely for the development and operation of the Resort during the term of the agreement.
