What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 11 discusses pre-opening assistance, including site selection. C12 Group does not participate or assist in locating a site or negotiation for the purchase or lease of a site for your business, nor does C12 Group approve the site of your business. C12 Group also does not construct, remodel, or decorate your meeting premises.
Item 11 does state that C12 Group provides guidance during Training Week for the kind of venue you should arrange for introductory events and for Business Forum meetings. C12 Group imposes no meeting site selection criteria or requirements upon you, except that the meeting site must be consistent with high-quality standards of a board meeting location such as a private country club or resort setting that a member would customarily find private, comfortable, and refreshing. Regular Business Forum meetings should not occur in member workplaces unless an exception is granted by C12 Group, and all meeting experiences should comply with the Field Operations Guide and Meeting Playbook standards.
Therefore, while C12 Group does not directly assist with site selection or lease negotiation, they do offer guidance on the type of venue suitable for meetings and events, and they set standards for the meeting environment. A prospective franchisee should consider these standards and guidelines when planning their pre-opening purchases and leases to ensure they align with C12 Group's expectations.
