What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, C12 Group does not provide assistance in site selection or lease negotiation. Item 11 clarifies that C12 Group does not participate or assist in locating a site, negotiating for the purchase or lease of a site, or approve the site of the business. Additionally, C12 Group does not construct, remodel, or decorate the meeting premises. This means that franchisees are solely responsible for finding, securing, and preparing their business location.
This hands-off approach to site selection places the onus entirely on the franchisee. Unlike some franchises that offer location scouting services or pre-approved site lists, C12 Group franchisees must independently identify suitable locations for their operations. This requires careful market research, understanding local business conditions, and potentially engaging with real estate professionals.
While the FDD specifies that C12 Group does not assist with site selection, it does state that when a franchise is sold, the company agrees to provide certain services to the franchisee, including assisting with training, reference and promotional materials and assistance with local C12 events. Prospective franchisees should inquire about any indirect support or resources C12 Group might offer to aid in this process, such as recommended criteria for selecting a suitable meeting location or guidance on lease negotiation strategies. Understanding the level of support, even if indirect, is crucial for making informed decisions about securing a location for the C12 Group franchise.
