What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, the C12 Marketing Co-op is a cooperative effort between the franchisee and C12 Group, where C12 Group contributes a share of the marketing expenses. This contribution is equivalent to the franchisee's applicable monthly royalty fee percentage. It's important to note that this co-op is strictly between the franchisee and C12 Group, and not a collective advertising or marketing cooperative involving other C12 Group franchisees.
The marketing expenses covered by the C12 Group Marketing Co-op are specifically those approved and managed by C12 Group. These include C12 Direct Mail Campaigns and C12 endorsed lead lists, such as InfoUSA. To access these funds, a franchisee must submit a C12 Marketing Co-op Request Form along with the necessary documentation. C12 Group will then review the request, and if approved, will make the payment accordingly.
For a prospective C12 Group franchisee, this means that a portion of their marketing expenses can be covered by C12 Group, reducing the financial burden of local marketing efforts. However, franchisees need to adhere to C12 Group's guidelines and approval processes to ensure their marketing activities are eligible for co-op funding. This arrangement allows C12 Group to maintain brand consistency and control over marketing initiatives while providing financial support to franchisees.
