What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to strict guidelines regarding the use of C12 Group's trademarks, service marks, trade names, logotypes, and domain names. These marks can only be used in ways that C12 Group has approved in advance and in writing, as detailed in training and operating manuals, semi-annual workshops, and the web-based portal. The branding and marks are to be used exclusively in conjunction with the delivery of approved C12 Group goods and services. Franchisees are also required to use C12-branded marketing materials in a manner consistent with the company's established brand identity and trademark. This includes displaying C12 Group's name, logos, and tag lines only in approved styles, colors, and formats.
Failure to comply with these trademark usage guidelines can lead to several consequences. C12 Group retains the right to modify the System Standards at any time, and franchisees are obligated to comply with these changes. Franchisees must use the specified agendas, materials, logos, websites, and formats without deviation unless approved in writing by C12 Group. They are also prohibited from reproducing the C12 Group trade name, logo, or copyrighted materials beyond normal, permitted uses without prior written permission. Non-compliance could result in C12 Group taking action to protect its brand, potentially including legal measures or termination of the franchise agreement.
Upon termination of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must immediately cease using C12 Group's trade name, trademarks, service marks, symbols, or insignia, and any related proprietary materials. The franchisee is responsible for returning or destroying any residual local inventory of these materials to ensure compliance. Any unauthorized use of C12 Group's proprietary programs, Business Forum formats, and techniques trained via the Field Operations Manual, Meeting Playbook, Brand Standards Guide, and New Chair Training protocol will be considered a violation of copyright privileges. Given these stipulations, it is critical for prospective franchisees to understand and adhere to C12 Group's brand standards to avoid potential legal and financial repercussions.
