What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 11 outlines pre-opening assistance provided by C12 Group. However, it explicitly states that C12 Group does not participate or assist in site selection, negotiation for purchase or lease of a site, nor does it approve the business site. C12 Group also does not construct, remodel, or decorate meeting premises. This means the franchisee is solely responsible for securing and preparing their business location.
Item 11 does state that C12 Group supplies initial start-up materials to aid in prospect development, member recruitment, and meeting facilitation, including guest binders, forms, stationery supplies, website-based resources, and promotional materials. The franchisee, however, is responsible for purchasing and maintaining a color printer and computer projector for their practice as needed.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these responsibilities and factor in the costs of securing a suitable location and any necessary improvements or equipment into their initial investment. It is important to discuss with C12 Group what specific equipment and supplies are essential for operating the franchise and to get an estimate of these costs to ensure accurate financial planning.
