What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 C12 Group Franchise Disclosure Document, C12 Group will not have independent access to franchisees' computer data and information. This means that franchisees maintain control over their own computer systems and data, and C12 Group will not directly access or monitor this information without the franchisee's consent or involvement.

This policy protects the franchisee's privacy and data security. Franchisees can operate their businesses knowing that their sensitive information is not freely accessible to the franchisor. This arrangement is fairly common in franchising, as franchisors often rely on franchisees to manage their own local operations and data while adhering to brand standards and reporting requirements.

However, C12 Group does specify certain computer requirements for franchisees. Franchisees must use a personal computer capable of operating Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel), Apple/Mac products (Keynote), and Google Suite web products. They must also have high-speed internet and emailing service capable of receiving 300+ MB files, as well as a laser or inkjet color printer. While C12 Group does not require franchisees to keep their computers updated, they estimate that franchisees may incur approximately $1,000 every 3-4 years to update or replace their computer. Any updates to computer hardware or software requirements will be set forth in the annual franchise compliance administrative update letter.
