Note 3. When a franchisee submits a request for reimbursement of marketing expenses to us, we consider the nature of the marketing effort and the strategic intent behind it. The process for requesting reimbursement is set forth in the Operations Manual. To assess this, franchisees submit a document to us with detailed answers to the following questions:
-What is the purpose of the initiative? -What is the timeline?
-Who is your target? -How much will it cost?
-What exactly will you do? -What is the expected ROI and impact?
-How will you succeed? -How will you measure and report results?
Once a franchisee submits this document to us, we review and approve or deny the request within approximately 7-10 days. The following marketing expenses are currently already determined to be eligible or ineligible for reimbursement:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to C12 Group's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Targeted Social Media Advertising' is eligible for reimbursement. The FDD lists specific marketing expenses that are eligible and ineligible for reimbursement. To request reimbursement for marketing expenses, a C12 Group franchisee must submit a document with detailed answers to questions regarding the purpose, timeline, target, cost, planned activities, expected ROI and impact, success strategies, and measurement/reporting methods for the marketing initiative.
C12 Group reviews the submitted document and approves or denies the reimbursement request within approximately 7-10 days. This process ensures that marketing efforts align with C12 Group's strategic objectives and that franchisees are making informed decisions about their marketing investments.
It's important to note that the FDD specifies that all fees are generally non-refundable and subject to change. However, the local C12 Co-op Marketing provides an opportunity for reimbursement of qualifying expenses, where C12 Group subsidizes a portion equal to the franchisee's monthly effective royalty fee. For example, if the royalty fee is 25%, the franchisee pays 75% of the marketing cost. This co-op marketing arrangement can significantly reduce the financial burden of marketing for franchisees, encouraging them to invest in activities that drive business growth.
