What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to C12 Group's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee who is leaving C12 Group has a responsibility to ensure a smooth transition that prioritizes the interests of the group members and preserves Christian fellowship. Specifically, all members in the franchisee's territory must be informed about the franchisee's departure and given the option to continue participating in CEO Forums and Key Player Forums under a new Area Chair appointed by C12 Group. The C12 Group members are free to decide whether to remain members or explore alternative CEO roundtable arrangements after being fully informed of their choices. The franchisee must also stop using all C12 Group materials, trade names, and marks, and avoid implying any continued association with C12 Group.
This requirement ensures that C12 Group members experience minimal disruption and can continue benefiting from the peer mentorship and coaching services. By informing members of their options and allowing them to choose their future participation, C12 Group aims to maintain the integrity and continuity of its services. This approach also protects the C12 Group brand by preventing departing franchisees from misrepresenting their affiliation or using proprietary materials after termination.
For a prospective C12 Group franchisee, this clause highlights the importance of ethical conduct and member-focused service. It underscores that the franchise agreement is not just a business transaction but also a commitment to the well-being of the C12 Group community. Franchisees should be prepared to handle transitions professionally and transparently, ensuring that members' needs are met and the values of the C12 Group are upheld.
