Are C12 Group franchisees obligated to purchase signs from C12?

You are required to purchase New Member Registration Kits from us whenever you have a new member sign up with your C12 Forum. You will pay us flat fees for each CEO Member and Key Player Member, and you will charge that fee (or a greater fee) to such members. Other than New Member Registrations, you are not obligated to purchase or lease from C12 or any specified sources any equipment, services, supplies, fixtures, computer equipment and network peripherals, signs, inventory or real estate during the establishment or operation of your business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to C12 Group's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally not required to purchase signs from C12 Group. Aside from New Member Registrations, franchisees are not obligated to purchase or lease any equipment, services, supplies, fixtures, computer equipment and network peripherals, signs, inventory, or real estate from C12 Group or any specified sources during the establishment or operation of their business.
However, C12 Group franchisees must use C12-branded marketing materials in a manner consistent with C12 Group's established brand identity and trademark. This includes displaying C12 Group's name, logos, and tag lines only in styles, colors, and formats approved by C12 Group. Franchisees must also maintain updated information regarding their local franchise on the C12 Group website and adopt C12 Group's standard satellite website, business card, and stationery at C12 Group's expense upon becoming a franchisee, unless otherwise approved by C12 Group.
While franchisees are not explicitly required to purchase signs from C12 Group, they must adhere to C12 Group's brand standards for any signage they use. This means that even if a franchisee sources signs independently, they must ensure that the signs comply with C12 Group's guidelines regarding name, logos, tag lines, styles, colors, and formats. This ensures brand consistency across all C12 Group franchises.
