What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to C12 Group's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's 'Google Ad Campaign' is eligible for reimbursement. The FDD specifies which marketing expenses are eligible and ineligible for reimbursement. To request reimbursement for marketing expenses, C12 Group franchisees must submit a document with detailed answers to questions regarding the purpose, timeline, target, cost, activities, expected ROI and impact, success strategy, and measurement/reporting methods for the marketing initiative.
Once C12 Group receives the document from the franchisee, they will review and either approve or deny the request within approximately 7-10 days. The reimbursement is tied to the royalty fee.
Specifically, the FDD states that C12 Group may subsidize a portion of qualifying local co-op marketing expenses equal to the franchisee's monthly effective royalty fee. The franchisee is responsible for paying the remaining balance. For example, if the royalty fee is 25%, the franchisee pays 75% of the marketing cost. This arrangement allows franchisees to offset some of their marketing expenses, but they should be prepared to cover a significant portion themselves.
