What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to C12 Group's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the prevailing discounted franchise fee for territory expansion is currently $20,000 per unit. This discounted fee applies when existing franchisees seek to expand their territory by acquiring additional units of market potential. However, there is a minimum payment of $2,500 required to be paid to C12 Group, regardless of how small the expansion is.
This discounted rate is offered to compliant franchisees who are looking to grow their existing C12 Group business. The calculation of market potential for these additional units is detailed in Item 5 and Item 7 of the FDD. This expansion strategy allows successful franchisees to increase their market presence and revenue potential within the C12 Group system.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that if they initially purchase a territory and later want to expand, they will pay a discounted rate compared to the initial franchise fee. This provides an incentive for growth and rewards successful operation. However, the minimum payment ensures that C12 Group receives a reasonable fee even for small territory expansions. It is important for franchisees to understand how 'market potential' is calculated, as this determines the cost of expansion.
