What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Vehicle Service Operations & Management training is required for the Designated Manager, but only recommended for other managers. The Designated Manager is the individual who devotes their full-time efforts to managing the daily operations of the Byrider business.
The Vehicle Service Operations & Management training consists of 16 hours of classroom instruction with no on-the-job training. This training takes place at Byrider's Carmel, Indiana headquarters, known as the Byrider Franchise Support Center, or at a regional training location selected by Byrider Franchising Partners.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that if they plan to be the Designated Manager, they must complete this training. If they hire a Designated Manager, that person must complete the training. Other managers are encouraged to attend, but it is not mandatory. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring all employees are trained in accordance with Byrider's recommended training content and operational standards.
