What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial 7-year franchise term can be terminated earlier under certain conditions. The franchisee can terminate the agreement if they are in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and Byrider Franchising Partners materially breaches the agreement but fails to cure the breach. Additionally, the franchisee can terminate the agreement on any grounds available by law.

However, Byrider Franchising Partners does not have the right to terminate the agreement without cause. Byrider can terminate the franchise agreement if the franchisee fails to open the Business within 1 year, fails to complete required initial training, supplies materially false information, or breaches the software agreement. Other causes for termination include violating transfer restrictions, insolvency, seizure of the business, a felony conviction related to the business, or defaulting under any other agreement with Byrider Franchising Partners without a cure period.

These termination provisions are typical in franchise agreements, providing some protection to both the franchisee and franchisor. It is important for a prospective Byrider franchisee to understand the specific conditions under which termination can occur, as early termination may have financial and legal consequences.
