What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Rider to the Area Development Agreement for use in Illinois is signed under specific conditions related to the franchisee's business operations or residency. This rider is an integral part of the Area Development Agreement and takes precedence over any conflicting terms within that agreement.

The rider is required if the franchisee's Byrider business, developed under the Area Development Agreement, operates either wholly or partly within the state of Illinois. Additionally, the rider is necessary if the franchisee is a resident of, domiciled in, or physically present in Illinois.

This ensures that Byrider franchises operating in Illinois comply with the state's specific legal requirements and regulations. The rider essentially tailors the general Area Development Agreement to acknowledge and adhere to Illinois state laws, particularly concerning franchise operations and franchisee rights within the state.
