What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are no fees associated with securing approval to purchase from alternative suppliers. However, if a franchisee wants to purchase products or services from sources not recommended or approved by Byrider Franchising Partners, they must submit samples and specifications for testing to ensure compliance with Byrider's standards.
Byrider Franchising Partners may share these standards with the franchisee and/or approved suppliers, but they are not obligated to do so. Byrider maintains a list of criteria for reviewing and approving products, services, and suppliers, but this criteria is not issued to franchisees.
Byrider will notify the franchisee within 30 days of the request whether the proposed vendor or supplier has been approved or rejected, and if rejected, the reasons for the rejection will be provided. If Byrider approves an alternative supplier, they may revoke such approval with 90 days' written notice.
This process allows Byrider to maintain quality control and consistency across its franchise system while still allowing franchisees some flexibility in sourcing products and services, without incurring additional fees for the approval process itself.
