What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the use of parking spaces provided by the landlord to the tenant does not incur an additional charge. The landlord must ensure that the premises comply with all applicable laws, including providing sufficient parking for the Byrider business. The tenant has the right to use these parking spaces for guests, invitees, and employees, ensuring compliance with zoning and other relevant laws. This is part of the lease agreement between the landlord and the Byrider franchisee.
This arrangement benefits the Byrider franchisee by eliminating an additional expense for parking, which can be significant depending on the location. It also ensures that the franchisee has adequate parking for its customers and employees, which is essential for the smooth operation of the business. The landlord's responsibility to provide sufficient parking and the tenant's right to use it without extra charges are clearly defined in the lease agreement.
This clause protects the franchisee from unexpected parking costs and ensures that the premises meet the necessary legal requirements for parking. It is a standard practice in commercial leases to define parking rights and responsibilities, and Byrider's approach provides clarity and cost savings for its franchisees.
