What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial term of the Franchise Agreement is seven years. Upon expiration of the initial agreement, a franchisee who meets certain conditions has the right to obtain up to three additional successor franchise agreements.
Each Successor Franchise Agreement grants the franchisee the right to operate their Byrider business for an additional five-year term. To qualify for a successor franchise, the franchisee must meet specific conditions outlined in Section 5.2 of the agreement.
These conditions include securing the right to occupy the business location for a period not ending sooner than the expiration of the successor franchise term, compliance with all material terms and conditions of the existing agreement, adherence to Byrider's operating and quality standards, and satisfaction of all monetary obligations. The franchisee is also responsible for any necessary upgrades, remodeling, or redecoration to ensure the business location conforms to the Byrider system's requirements at the commencement of the successor franchise agreement.
