What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Byrider Franchising Partners may suggest sources for franchisees to purchase promotional materials, agreements, signs, stationery, and other items needed to operate the business. These suggested sources can be either Byrider Franchising Partners itself or a third party. Byrider negotiates purchase terms, including favorable pricing, with these approved suppliers for the benefit of its franchisees.
While Byrider may suggest certain suppliers, franchisees are also able to source their own suppliers for items such as building materials, signs, and decorating accessories, provided they meet Byrider's specifications. If a franchisee proposes using a non-approved supplier, they must notify Byrider and submit samples and specifications for approval. Byrider has 30 days to review the submission and determine if it meets their standards. The franchisee will bear any costs associated with this review, including analysis and testing.
Franchisees are required to purchase certain supplies from Byrider-approved sources. Purchases from designated or approved suppliers are estimated to account for 95% to 100% of the franchisee's total purchases, both when establishing the business and during ongoing operations. While there are currently no purchasing or distribution cooperatives, Byrider and its affiliates may negotiate purchase arrangements with approved suppliers, and may receive rebates or other payments based on franchisee sales.
