What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Byrider Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to standardization programs implemented by Byrider to maintain a consistent business image and protect the brand's goodwill. These programs include requiring employees to wear uniforms designated by Byrider.
Byrider's standardization extends to various aspects of the business, including the facility's design, decor, layout, and color scheme, as well as the signage. Franchisees are expected to follow confidential operating procedures and utilize specific methods and techniques for inventory and cost controls, collections, record keeping, accounting, reporting, personnel management, purchasing, service and reconditioning, and sales promotion, marketing, and advertising. These elements collectively contribute to the System that Byrider has established.
To ensure compliance with Byrider's standards, the company retains the right to inspect the franchisee's business operations at reasonable times. This includes observing how the business is run, conferring with employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers, and verifying that operations meet the performance standards set by Byrider. Franchisees must also maintain the Business Location in a high-quality condition and make necessary improvements or modifications to meet Byrider's current standards, up to a maximum of $150,000 during the term of the agreement, excluding ongoing maintenance and sign replacements.
