What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Byrider Franchise Disclosure Document, a Byrider franchisee is required to notify the company in writing within ten business days of specific events. These events include the commencement of any action, suit, proceeding, investigation, or inquiry. Notification is also required upon the issuance of any order, writ, injunction, award, or decree from any court, agency, or other governmental body.
Furthermore, the franchisee must notify Byrider if they receive written complaints from any customer or potential customer that may adversely affect the operation or financial condition of the franchisee's business. This ensures that Byrider is informed of any potential issues that could impact the brand's reputation or the franchisee's ability to operate successfully.
Byrider retains the right to intervene if it believes the franchisee is not adequately addressing these events. In such cases, Byrider can require the franchisee to resolve the matter promptly and reasonably, adhering to good business practices. This clause underscores the importance of franchisees maintaining open communication with Byrider and addressing issues proactively to safeguard their business and the Byrider brand.
