What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Byrider Franchise Disclosure Document, Section 12.5, titled "Notice of Claims," outlines the franchisee's obligation to notify Byrider of any claims or demands. Specifically, the franchisee must inform Byrider of any claims or demands against the franchisee, the franchisee's business, the business location, and/or Byrider itself within five business days of the claim or demand.

Furthermore, the Byrider franchisee is obligated to respond to all claims within the time frame required by law, rule, or regulation. This means the franchisee must be aware of and adhere to all applicable legal and regulatory deadlines for responding to claims.

In addition to providing notice and responding to claims, the Byrider franchisee must cooperate with Byrider (or its designee) in defending against claims made by employees, customers, or third parties. This cooperation may include making appearances at administrative or other hearings to present or reinforce defenses, if necessary. Failure to comply with these insurance requirements gives Byrider the right to terminate the agreement.
