What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel and lodging expenses for themselves and their employees when attending required additional training programs. This includes instances where Byrider determines that the quality of work of the franchisee or their employees does not meet the acceptable standards for the Byrider system, necessitating a retraining program at Byrider's training facility.

This means that if Byrider mandates retraining for the franchisee or their employees due to substandard performance, the franchisee must bear the costs of travel and accommodation associated with attending the retraining. This can create an additional financial burden on the franchisee, especially if the training facility is located far from the franchisee's business location, or if multiple employees need retraining.

Franchisees should factor in these potential costs when budgeting for ongoing operational expenses. It is important to maintain Byrider's quality standards to avoid triggering mandatory retraining and incurring these additional expenses. Franchisees should also inquire about the frequency and location of retraining programs to better estimate potential travel and lodging costs.
