What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Byrider can require franchisees and their employees to undergo a retraining program at the company's training facility if the quality of their work does not meet Byrider's acceptable quality standards for the system. The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and lodging expenses associated with attending these programs or seminars.
This requirement ensures that all Byrider locations maintain a consistent level of quality and service. By requiring retraining, Byrider aims to correct any deficiencies in the franchisee's or their employees' performance, which can help protect the brand's reputation and customer satisfaction. The cost of travel and lodging for retraining is the responsibility of the franchisee, which is a standard practice in franchising.
This stipulation in the franchise agreement allows Byrider to actively manage and improve the quality of its franchisees' operations. While it places an additional financial burden on franchisees who do not meet quality standards, it also provides an opportunity for them to improve their business practices and maintain compliance with the franchise agreement. This ensures that all locations adhere to the established standards, contributing to the overall success and consistency of the Byrider brand.
