What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee is opening their first or second Byrider location, Byrider will provide at least one representative on-site during the first week of business. The purpose of this on-site assistance is to facilitate the opening of the franchisee's business.
The number of days the Byrider representative will be on-site and the specific person designated to provide the assistance will be determined at Byrider's discretion. The representative will help the franchisee establish and standardize procedures and techniques that are essential for operating the Byrider business. They will also assist in training the franchisee's personnel.
If the franchisee requests additional assistance from Byrider to facilitate the opening of the business, and Byrider deems it necessary and appropriate, the franchisee will be required to pay Byrider's customary fees for these services. Currently, these fees are $1,000 per day, and the franchisee must also reimburse Byrider for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in providing the additional assistance. This provides an opportunity for franchisees to receive more support, but at an additional cost.
For franchisees opening subsequent locations beyond their second, on-site assistance will be provided as Byrider deems appropriate based on the specific circumstances. This suggests that the level of support may vary depending on the franchisee's experience and the needs of the new location. Franchisees should discuss with Byrider what level of support they can expect for each new location.
