What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for each additional franchise is $40,000 if you are classified as an Ultra Franchisee. This fee is nonrefundable. The FDD specifies that the initial franchise fee for additional franchises is subject to change at Byrider's discretion without prior notice.
An Ultra Franchisee is defined as someone who has not signed a Franchise Agreement with Byrider Franchising prior to January 1, 2021, for at least one Byrider Business. This distinction is important because it affects not only the initial franchise fee but also the type of Area Development Agreement Rider that the franchisee will sign. Traditional Franchisees, who had agreements before the specified date, sign a different rider and pay a lower additional franchise fee.
Prospective franchisees should be aware that while the initial franchise fee for the first franchise is $60,000, subsequent franchises carry a lower fee of $40,000 for Ultra Franchisees. However, this fee can change, so it's crucial to confirm the current fee with Byrider before signing any agreements. Additionally, veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces may be eligible for a $10,000 reduction in the initial franchise fee for their first franchise, but this discount does not appear to apply to additional franchises.
