What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Byrider Franchise Disclosure Document, the Rider to the Area Development Agreement takes precedence over any conflicting terms within the original agreement. Specifically, the Rider is designed to modify the Development Agreement to account for specific state laws or situations.

For instance, if a Byrider franchisee is developing a business in Minnesota, or is a resident of Minnesota, the Rider ensures compliance with Minnesota law, particularly concerning termination notice requirements. Similarly, there are state-specific riders for Illinois, Maryland, and California, each addressing specific legal considerations within those states.

This means that prospective Byrider franchisees need to carefully review the Rider applicable to their specific state or situation, as it will govern their rights and obligations under the Development Agreement. It is important to understand how the Rider modifies the original agreement to ensure full compliance with local laws and regulations.
