What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may be eligible for a refund of the initial franchise fee. The initial franchise fee for a Byrider franchise is $60,000. To receive a refund, the franchisee must provide Byrider Franchising Partners with written notice within 60 days from the date of the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, the franchisee must sign a general release form required by Byrider Franchising Partners.
It is important to note that this refund policy applies only to the initial franchise fee paid when signing the Franchise Agreement. If a franchisee purchases additional franchises, the initial franchise fee for those is nonrefundable. The initial franchise fee for each additional franchise is $35,000 for Traditional Franchisees and $40,000 for Ultra Franchisees. The FDD also states that the initial franchise fee for additional franchises is subject to change at the discretion of Byrider Franchising Partners without prior notice.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider this 60-day window and the requirement to sign a general release. It is advisable to consult with an attorney to fully understand the implications of the general release before signing the Franchise Agreement. This refund policy provides a limited opportunity to reconsider the franchise investment, but it is crucial to act promptly and fulfill all requirements within the specified timeframe.
