What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can request a refund of the initial franchise fee within 60 days from the date of the Franchise Agreement. To receive the refund, Byrider Franchising Partners must receive written notice within this 60-day period, and the franchisee must also sign the general release form required by Byrider Franchising Partners.
This refund policy provides a limited window for franchisees to reconsider their investment after signing the Franchise Agreement. It is crucial for prospective franchisees to carefully evaluate the franchise opportunity and seek professional advice before signing, as the refund is only available within the specified timeframe and requires fulfilling specific conditions.
It's important to note that this refund policy applies specifically to the initial franchise fee. Other amounts reflected in Item 7 of the FDD, such as costs for furniture, equipment, or inventory, are generally non-refundable unless a franchisee negotiates a refund with the particular supplier. Therefore, franchisees should carefully consider all aspects of the initial investment and understand the refund policies associated with each component.
