What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Byrider's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Byrider business model includes not only the sale of used vehicles but also the financing of those vehicles. This is a key component of the "buy-here-pay-here" business approach, where Byrider franchises provide financing options directly to customers. The Byrider system also requires that all franchisees offer a warranty program with every vehicle sale, adding another layer of service.
In addition to sales and financing, the Byrider system incorporates a comprehensive set of operating procedures, methods, and techniques. These cover various aspects of the business, including inventory and cost controls, collections, record keeping, accounting and reporting, personnel management, purchasing, service and reconditioning, sales promotion, marketing, and advertising. Byrider provides computer software to manage retail installment sales, security contracts, and monitor receivables and collection productivity.
Furthermore, Byrider emphasizes customer service and complaint resolution. Franchisees are responsible for investigating and resolving both agency complaints (e.g., from the Better Business Bureau) and direct consumer complaints. The company's Compliance Department manages a customer service channel to track these issues and ensure timely responses. This focus on customer relations and compliance is an integral part of the Byrider franchise system.
