What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bw Premier Collection Franchise Disclosure Document, existing hotels converting to a Bw Premier Collection franchise are not required to complete training prior to joining the reservation system. Bw Premier Collection also does not require ongoing or refresher training for existing hotels. This policy reflects the fact that these hotels are already operational and possess hospitality experience.
While formal training is waived for existing hotels, Bw Premier Collection does provide access to online education and training resources through BWI's learning management system (LMS). This online platform offers continuing education opportunities, allowing franchisees and their staff to enhance their skills and knowledge on a voluntary basis.
Prospective franchisees should note that while training is not mandatory for existing hotels, adherence to Bw Premier Collection's brand standards and quality assurance protocols is still essential. The FDD mentions the importance of achieving a passing BWI QA assessment, which suggests that existing hotels may need to implement certain operational changes or improvements to meet Bw Premier Collection's requirements. Therefore, franchisees should carefully review the brand standards and QA assessment procedures to ensure compliance.
