System Hotels must obtain a PMS but it may the PMS of their choosing. All System Hotels are required to ensure that their PMS's are kept current on software updates/upgrades. We do not have any contractual limitations on the frequency and costs of any such obligations.
If a System Hotel is connected to our reservations system via two-way connectivity, we will
have independent access to information that will be generated or stored in the System Hotel's electronic cash registers and computer systems. We will not otherwise have independent access to information that will be generated or stored in the System Hotel's electronic cash registers and computer systems.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bw Premier Collection's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, System Hotels are required to obtain a Property Management System (PMS), but they have the freedom to choose their preferred PMS. However, Bw Premier Collection mandates that all System Hotels keep their PMS software current with all updates and upgrades. The FDD does not specify any contractual limitations on the frequency or costs associated with these updates.
If a System Hotel uses two-way connectivity to connect to Bw Premier Collection's reservation system, Bw Premier Collection will have independent access to information generated or stored in the hotel's electronic cash registers and computer systems. Otherwise, Bw Premier Collection will not have independent access to this information.
Bw Premier Collection also recommends that System Hotels have certain computer equipment and offers the option of securing a Guest Management System (GMS). They also require a Hotel Managed Security Service (HMSS). The cost for the GMS is $1.45 per room, per month, if licensed through Bw Premier Collection's affiliate, AutoClerk. The one-time installation fee for the HMSS typically ranges from $2,100 to $3,500, with a monthly maintenance fee of $130.
