What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bw Premier Collection Franchise Disclosure Document, certain states have franchise laws requiring the registration or filing of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), or an exemption from registration. As of the issuance date of the FDD, February 28, 2025, these states are: California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
This registration or filing requirement means that Bw Premier Collection has taken specific legal steps to be able to offer franchises in these states, and the FDD has been reviewed (or an exemption granted) by state authorities. The purpose of these laws is to protect prospective franchisees by ensuring they receive adequate information before investing in a franchise.
It is important to note that Bw Premier Collection may not yet be registered to sell franchises in all of these states, even though the franchise laws in these states require registration or filing. A prospective franchisee should confirm with Bw Premier Collection that it is currently registered or exempt in their specific state before proceeding with the franchise purchase. Additionally, other states may have laws regulating the offer and sale of business opportunities or seller-assisted marketing plans, which could also require registration, filing, or exemption.
