What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bw Premier Collection's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the prospective franchisee is responsible for paying the Impact Study Fee. If a Member requests an impact study upon receiving the application, the prospective franchisee must pay Bw Premier Collection the Impact Study Fee so that the company can conduct the study. The FDD states that the Impact Study Fee ranges from $0 to $4,000. This fee is paid in a lump sum before the commission of the impact study and is payable to Bw Premier Collection.
However, if Bw Premier Collection denies the application for any reason, the Impact Study Fee will be refunded to the prospective franchisee. This condition provides some financial protection to the applicant, as they will not be responsible for the cost of the study if their application is ultimately rejected.
Impact studies are not always required, and the need for one is determined by Bw Premier Collection. The cost is part of the initial investment a franchisee must make when converting an existing hotel to a Bw Premier Collection Premier Hotel or Signature Hotel.
