What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, other intangible assets for Bw Premier Collection include acquired customers, developed technologies, trademarks, and trade names resulting from business acquisitions. These assets are initially valued at their fair value on the acquisition date.
With the exception of trademarks and trade names, which are considered indefinite-lived, these intangible assets are amortized using the straight-line method over their estimated useful lives, which range from 7.5 years to 10 years. These assets are reported within other assets in the Consolidated Statements of Financial Position.
Bw Premier Collection evaluates these intangible assets, along with goodwill, for potential impairment on an annual basis. As part of this evaluation, the company may first assess qualitative factors to determine if it is likely that the fair value of the asset is less than its carrying amount. If this assessment suggests that impairment is possible, further testing is conducted to determine the extent of any impairment.
