What hotel standards must a Bw Premier Collection franchisee maintain for a Signature Hotel?

Bw_Premier_Collection Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must (i) maintain the Hotel and provide amenities as we determine from time to time consistent with an upscale hotel (for a Premier Hotel) or upper-midscale hotel (for a Signature Hotel); and (ii) maintain a passing BWI quality assurance ("QA") assessment rating. There is no limit on our right to make changes to our standards for an upscale hotel (for a Premier Hotel) or upper-midscale hotel (for a Signature Hotel) or what we consider to be a passing QA assessment rating and you must comply with all changes we adopt.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bw Premier Collection's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee operating a Signature Hotel must maintain the hotel and provide amenities consistent with an upper-midscale hotel. Additionally, the franchisee must achieve and maintain a passing BWI quality assurance (QA) assessment rating. Bw Premier Collection retains the right to modify these standards and the criteria for a passing QA assessment.

These standards are further detailed in the BW Signature Collection® by Best Western QA Assessment Process & Procedures, the table of contents of which is included as an exhibit in the FDD. This document outlines the QA processes and procedures, brand standards guidelines, and specific requirements for public areas and guest rooms. The guidelines cover aspects such as guaranteed service experience, food/beverage experience, cleanliness, maintenance, entertainment, work environment, sleep experience, and bathroom/shower experience.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review the BW Signature Collection® by Best Western QA Assessment Process & Procedures to fully understand the specific requirements and expectations for maintaining a Signature Hotel. It is important to note that Bw Premier Collection can change these standards at any time, and franchisees are obligated to comply with any adopted changes. Franchisees should also inquire about the current QA assessment rating criteria to ensure they can meet these standards and maintain a passing score.
