What hotel standards must a Bw Premier Collection franchisee maintain for a Premier Hotel?

Bw_Premier_Collection Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must (i) maintain the Hotel and provide amenities as we determine from time to time consistent with an upscale hotel (for a Premier Hotel) or upper-midscale hotel (for a Signature Hotel); and (ii) maintain a passing BWI quality assurance ("QA") assessment rating. There is no limit on our right to make changes to our standards for an upscale hotel (for a Premier Hotel) or upper-midscale hotel (for a Signature Hotel) or what we consider to be a passing QA assessment rating and you must comply with all changes we adopt.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bw Premier Collection FDD, a franchisee must maintain the hotel and provide amenities consistent with an upscale hotel. Additionally, the franchisee must maintain a passing BWI quality assurance (QA) assessment rating. Bw Premier Collection has the right to make changes to their standards for an upscale hotel and what they consider to be a passing QA assessment rating, and the franchisee must comply with all changes they adopt.

Bw Premier Collection may provide their standards for an upscale hotel and for what they consider to be a passing QA assessment rating in writing from time to time. The tables of contents of the current versions of their BW Premier Collection® by Best Western QA Assessment Process & Procedures are attached as exhibits to the FDD.

Prior to activation on BWI Reservation Channels, a Bw Premier Collection franchisee must complete all renovations within the required timelines, as outlined in the Property Improvement Plan (PIP). All items without an extension noted in the "Post Activation" column of the PIP must be addressed prior to activation on BWI Reservation Channels. Franchisees must also complete a deep-clean program and maintain a preventative maintenance program. Franchisees must comply with all quality assurance (QA) processes and procedures, achieve a passing BWI QA assessment rating prior to activation on BWI Reservation Channels, and maintain a passing rating for the duration of the agreement. If a hotel does not pass a QA assessment, the hotel will be reassessed without notice within, on, or about ninety (90) days and will be responsible for a QA reassessment fee.
